Quality Irrigation Named Omaha’s Small Business of the Year

The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce presented Quality Irrigation with its annual Small Business of the Year Award at the May 15th 2012 Big O! Excellence Awards Luncheon.

Citing the Omaha sprinkler system company’s commitment to customer service and its exceptional business practices, Dave Brown, president of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, presented the award to Ryan Jardine, Quality Irrigation president and owner.

“Everyone here in our company is extremely honored and humbled by this award,” said Jardine. “We really didn’t expect to win. We were just grateful to be one of three finalists.”

The other two nominees for the award were I-Go Van and Storage and The Filter Shop. The Small Business of the Year Award is given to a business that employs 50 or fewer people and excels in the areas of customer service, community involvement and professional relationships. The award is one of six presented annually by the Chamber honoring outstanding organizations and individuals in Omaha, including Business Woman of the Year, Corporate Citizen of the Year, Minority Business of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year.

Quality Irrigation a Finalist for Omaha’s Small Business of the Year Award

We recently found out that we’re one of three finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award presented by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. We’re very honored! We also congratulate the other two finalists, The Filter Shop and I-Go Van and Storage. The winner of the award will named May 15th at the Big O! Excellence Awards luncheon where award winners in six categories will be announced.

Per EPA, Water-Efficient Sprinkler Systems Save Billions

Water is a finite resource. What we have is all we get. Most of the water in the world is unusable (think oceans and glaciers) and what we can use, we’ve been wasting. Especially watering our lawns.

  • According to the EPA, an American home can waste, on average, 11,000 gallons of water every year due to running toilets, dripping faucets, and leaks.
  • According to the EPA, more than 1 TRILLION gallons leak from U.S. homes each year.
  • Nationally, an average of 14% of the water we buy is lost through leaks. That’s like paying a 14% sales tax on something you never get to use!
  • 50% of the water used to maintain lawns and gardens in the US could be saved by using water efficient Sprinkler Systems…that’s more than 11 BILLION gallons per year!
